Our tools are important. Sometimes, all we want from them is to just work! At Vectornator, we’ve experienced this inside-out ourselves, and today we are really proud to introduce to you the design tool of tomorrow: Vectornator X.
We are a team of design lovers driven by the dream of a young founder (19) to develop the best tool for designers. With this simple enough, yet actually a quite complex idea we’ve gained a great following in the designer community.
Vectornator X brings new features, new tools, a better user experience, and that’s really what motivates us — the people who will enjoy it, who will create in it, share, imagine and re-imagine, capture something fleeting.
What’s New?
Auto Trace
One thing, as designers, we can all probably agree on is that struggle-filled bit that comes with vectorizing an image — manual tracing. It takes time. Too much time.
Here is where Vectornator X comes swooping in, making things easier for you with auto trace. No more manual tracing. Hasta la vista! Arrivederci! Ciao!
Seriously, no more manual tracing. This became our development team personal challenge. Vectornator X is the first app that offers the auto trace.
Now, with a tap of one button, your job is complete and you can move on to doing something more fun.
Artboards
Vectornator X features artboards as well — it’s up to you how you use them, but they’re guaranteed to make things easier.
With the updates in this release, we’re bringing your creativity foremost. Create sophisticated illustrations, beautiful designs, amazing layouts — all in one super powerful tool.
UI improvements + Redesign
An updated interface makes your workflows much faster thanks to the brand new card-based interface. All you need to do to browse through the tools is a simple swipe. It’s easier to navigate, it’s faster, it simply works better.
The Layer Tab has been redesigned as well — new more gestures will let you finally export one single layer!
We’ve also come up with something called Magical Canvas. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? The interface moves out of the way when the user is drawing or moving objects, revealing the canvas and freeing up working space on your device.
