The answer is…Yes, you can! Thanks to me, I’ve listed sites/platforms that offer FREE classes on User Experience Design (or Product Design).

I understand that we cant get everything for free these days, but i’m a firm believer that everyone is entitled to have access on knowledge and education in any type or form. So, being a broke believer that i am, here i’ve listed Top 10 platform/institution that i found, who are nice enough to provide free class/material on User Experience Design (and/or Product Design). Also because many people (esp. my junior in college ask me where do i learn about UX for free) so here it is guys!

  1. Udacity: Intro to the Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman
    This course provides a summary of key concepts from the first two chapters of The Design of Everyday Things (Revised and Expanded Edition, November 2013) by Don Norman.
  2. Coursera: Introduction to User Experience Design by Georgia Institute of Technology
    The focus of this course is to introduce the learner to User Experience (UX) Design
  3. Open2Study: User Experience For the Web (WebUX)
    Learn to create great experiences for people visiting websites, with proven tools and techniques.
  4. Springboard: User Experience Design
    In this course, not only you’ll get introduction of User Experience Design, but also you’ll get material as far as career coach in UXD field.
  5. InVision App: Principle of UX Design Ecourse
    The lesson on UX Design will be emailed to you on a weekly basis. There’s a total of 9 lessons that you’ll get by subscribing to this course. Not only UX, Invision also came in clutch providing a wide range of material on product design as well.
  6. Gymnasium: UX Fundamental
    UX Fundamentals
    will teach you how to apply user-centered design principles in order to improve your website and mobile app design. A must-take course for anyone working in web design and development.
  7. Lynda.com: UX Course
    The UX courses in Lynda.com is actually free and VARIOUS, but you’ll have to subscribe and pay for the membership. But don’t worry, they’ll give you a month of free trial.
  8. FutureLearn: Digital Skills User Experience
    This course aims to equip you with a broad understanding of User Experience and covers the foundations of User Experience design and process including; user journeys, prototypes, information architecture, and wireframes.
  9. High Resolution: An Interview with Design Lead like no other
    High Resolution provide us all with series of videos that we can access through their site or watch it easily on Youtube. The videos are about 45 minute-ish long.
  10. CareerFoundry: Think Like A UX Designer
    This course provides you with a hands-on exploration of user experience practices. Once you subscribed to their site, they’ll send you a week-long email course and will give you a solid grounding in the key elements of UX, through real-life exercises.
