My side project Confetti — Confetti

Today my co-founder and I are excited to announce the launch of our side project Confetti!

Confetti is a simple, colorful habit tracker that tracks your daily/weekly commitments and launches confetti every time you complete a task to celebrate your daily accomplishments.

With new year’s resolutions ripe for concurring, we decided it was a good time to share our creation with anyone looking to better themselves in 2020.

Where it all started

Almost three years ago, I had a realization that would change the way I approached my life.

I was 20 years old and living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, building an online business. My company was doing great, but I realized that I wasn’t satisfied. I didn’t feel healthy or focused, and I had little structure in my life.

I was doing all the right things to run my business, but my health and improvement were falling to the wayside.

I didn’t feel that my personal goals were advancing at the same rate that my business goals were. I was pushing my personal development to the side instead of keeping it in the forefront.

I decided that just as I have a to-do list for my business, I should have one for my life. Just as I track the progress of my business, I should track the progress of my own development.

“We become what we repeatedly do.”
― Sean Covey

So I made a list of things that I wanted to do each day. At the time, these were the habits I decided on:

  • Workout
  • Read
  • Practice Vietnamese
  • Meditate
  • Do affirmations
  • Learn something new

I grabbed some grid paper from a local shop and wrote the days of the week and the habits I wanted to develop daily.
