Several people have been discussing it on social media for the last few months, and it became official yesterday.
Now, creators can create and sell their Figma files, widgets, or plugins on Figma’s community without worrying about creating a website or processing payments.
Surely, it’s an amazing way to make money and even turn your passion into a successful business.
This is a summary of the most important information I learned from reading the Figma website (I will include the link for the Figma help center below). Hopefully, it will help you better understand how it works so you can sell your files, widgets, or plugins and make money.
Let’s take a closer at the most important information
1. You can sell Figma files, plugins, and widgets.
2. The minimum price is 2.00$. Figma files and widgets are one-time payments, while the plugins can make one-time payments and be subscription-based.

3. The program is currently closed to the public and only available to those who receive an invitation from Figma. However, you can join the waitlist for future access.
4. Figma will send you the money 30 days after the user purchases. (In my opinion, some creators can consider this period of time to be long).
5. You cannot sell files already published as free.
6. Figma collects a 15% fee for transactional and operational costs.
7. Customers can request an automatic refund within 24 hours of purchasing resources.
