Celebration day for unDraw: 200+ illustrations reached

This is probably a post to thank you everyone for supporting something that started as a side-project and turned it full-time with your enthusiasm and love!

When we started unDraw, it had only 30 something plain illustrations. Now 3 and a half months later we’ve surpassed the mental limit of 200 and we have a long way ahead of us!

I really can’t believe I’ve designed so many illustrations for unDraw but now I think is the time to commit to design another 200 and I’ll take it from there!!! Haha… Now I can be truly zen and carry on!!!

The response has been amazing so I thought it’s time to share some interesting stats:

• We are thankful for each one of the 87.221 unique users and the ~70% that keep returning all these months!!!
• Our server (the thing we feared most when launching), has served 4.709.130 images without a single failure!!!
• Each one of you who suggested we add search will be happy to know that there have been 313.942 “Load more” requests, so you were right all along !!!
• The countries that are using us the most are: 1) U.S.A.(19%) — 2) China(10%) — 3) Germany(8.6%) — 4) Japan(6.1%) — 5) U.K. (4.7%)
• The most downloaded illustration is:

• Gathered 1635 upvotes on Product Hunt even though we launched during the Christmas season with most people AFK!!!

Moving forward

So now it’s time to look the future and what must be done by the time we reach 1000 illustrations! There are a few things we have been working on and I am happy to share:

• We will be releasing a new version with a much clearer interface and yes, it will include the search functionality!!!
• We are working on an API so you can integrate unDraw and it’s images directly in your applications and offer your users the ability to search and embed or download illustrations!
• Evie will have new pages, including pricing and a few others, and will be even lighter than before!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about unDraw, who reached out to show support and it’s an honor to see my work be used on so many cool projects and the awesome people that created those!!!
