With so many terms in use across the industry, it’s probably a good idea to set the record straight on some of the basics.

A is for algorithms, for which we must solve

B is for badges (from which we’ve evolved)

C is for code, some think mandatory

D is for developers intertwined with the story

E is for empathy, for which we should strive

F is for functions from which we’ll derive

G is for graph paper (there’s never enough)

H is for hashtags, which some like to stuff

I is for IA, from where many folks came

J is for journeys, none of which are the same

K is for kanban, from ideas you can shake

L is for lists which we all love to make

M is for mobile, more than photos or weather

N is for narratives to bring it together

O is for objects, the things we define

P is for prototypes, we build and refine

Q is for questions which we love to ask

R is for recruiters, someone hand me that flask?

S is for services with needs found within

T is for things which we jammed a chip in

U is for users, or is that the right word?

V is for voices, interfaces from what is heard

W is for words from which content differs

X is for XML, the slimmer the quicker

Y is one half the axes we spin

Z is for Zillah who drank too much gin (look it up and thank me later.)
